March is finally here and winter is officially on its way out. With each day the excitement of Spring is luring us outside. Flowers are beginning to bloom and the sound of chirping birds are ringing in our ears. The days are longer, the air warmer and the Town of Duck is coming back to life. There is so much to love about Spring on the Outer Banks, and I am going to share some with you. You can thank me later.
1.) The weather. As April approaches the average temperature rises from 59 degrees to 69 degrees. A perfect balance of a warm day and cool evening. Strolling the beach by day and getting cozy by the fire at night.
2.) Lower rates. April is still considered off season. You can’t beat the rates and you still get to enjoy all the Outer Banks has to offer. What is not to love about this?
3) Our Beaches. If you have ever been to the Outer Banks in the summer you know how packed the beaches can be. It’s no secret that our beaches are some of the best in the Country. Why not enjoy all the beauty that is Duck, NC without all the crowds?
4) The Restaurants. March is when our restaurants are beginning to re-open. Waiting lists, what waiting lists. Also in March is the annual Taste of the Beach, a foodies dream! https://www.obxtasteofthebeach.com/
5) Fishing. Fishing on the Outer Banks is one of our many attractions. However, it is from March through May that it is at its best for surf fishing.
Don’t miss out on visiting Duck this Spring. We can’t wait to see you!
